The briefPD Ports are a leading ports and logistics service business. As a ‘safety first’ organisation, PD Ports required an interactive demo to induct new staff and visitors on essential safety and evacuation procedures at their north east base.
The solutionDDL designed an interactive demonstration that users can navigate and view at their own pace. Aerial maps of the site are shown to illustrate evacuation points and important areas. The viewer is then taken through a range of emergencies from fire to terrorist attacks or natural disasters.
As each emergency has its own alarm tone, the presentation includes the function to listen to each alarm, to allow users to familiarise themselves with the different sounds.
Containment areas and evacuation points with coloured escape routes are animated, along with aerial maps, making this essential safety information extremely clear.
The presentation is concluded with a multiple choice assessment ensuring the viewer has understood the information provided.
A certificate can then be printed which is evidence to support PD Ports health and safety compliance.
