WHAT WE DO
Case study
ECITB
CCNSG NATIONAL SAFETY COURSE MATERIALS
The brief
The Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB) organise and oversee training for the engineering and construction industry. To work on any building or engineering site, all site personnel must hold a CCNSG Safety Passport. This passport guarantees a basic level of knowledge of health and safety for all workers on site.

ECITB are responsible for funding and delivering training to ensure people within the industry achieve this essential accreditation. Due to the large number of candidates, and in order to satisfy training requirements, ECITB required interactive presentation materials. This standardised presentation would ensure that information is presented in an accurate and consistent method rather than being subject to the presenters knowledge.

The project required a rapid turnaround from the initial brief to hit internal deadlines at ECITB.

The solution
DDL converted basic copy provided by a key trainer into an interactive presentation delivering important health and safety information.

Slides include animations, photography and presenter led interactive elements. Exercises such as identification of safety signs are timed to allow participation from the audience. Character animations highlight key safety hazards and various scenarios lead group discussions.

Four individual presentations were created to cover the various levels of the course, each presenting important health and safety messages in a visual, memorable and engaging format.

DDL used expertise in the following areas for this solution:
