BETT Awards 2009
Finalist
The BETT Awards is an annual scheme that highlights exemplar digital products intended for the education marketplace. The awards also recognise outstanding education sector products and learning solutions. Judges review the entries based on these criteria, including design, cost-effectiveness, support of higher order skills and effective learning and teaching styles. For the technical evaluation, focus is on the robustness and resilience of each product, and its accessibility for those with specific needs.

We were delighted to have our health and safety product, Safe Learner, selected as a finalist in the FE & Skills Digital Content section and were invited to a prestigious awards ceremony at the London Hilton Hotel on Park Lane.

Although we were not chosen to receive the award, being selected as a finalist is tremendous recognition for the quality of our learning materials.

National Training Awards 2008
North East Training Award, Partnership and Collaboration
The National Training Awards celebrates businesses and organisations that achieve outstanding success through training and development.

DDL was delighted to win the regions's top accolade for our work with Lucite International. We developed an interactive technical training tool for Lucite, used for staff inductions, continual staff assessment and for on-site troubleshooting.

Codeworks 2008
Microsoft Digital Distinction Prize
We pride ourselves on employing exceptional staff and Graduate Placement Ben Timney proves just that!

On placement from Teesside University, Ben won the prestigious Microsoft Digital Distinction Prize for his time with us here at DDL.

Codeworks is a centre for digital innovation. They help develop digital media technology companies based in North East England.

UK@CEBIT
Best of British Technology Showcase 2006
CeBIT is the world's largest trade fair showcasing digital IT and telecommunications solutions for home and work environments. DDL were able to exhibit at the show in Hannover, Germany in 2006.

DDL went through the DTI's rigorous selection process and were chosen, from a wide range of diverse businesses, to represent the best of British technology companies. We had a prime position on the UK@CeBIT stand where we were able to demonstrate our products to business and public visitors to the show.
